Madeline Friend is a queer autistic nonbinary white person who works as a fluvial geomorphologist, river guide, writer, and editor. Her pronouns are both she and they.
Rivers are paramount to her writing, and working as a professional guide allows her to live and thrive in the outdoors. She has boated in the US, Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia (where she was a Fulbright scholar), but loves to circle the eddies of Western US rivers best. She guides in Arizona, Utah, and Idaho.
She would love to hear your input, questions, and adventure tales! You can email her at mfriend814 (at) gmail (dot) com.
